LINKS
|
This is a growing, evolving list of some of our
favorite links so please check back often to see
what's new. You can also find links throughout our
site, for example there are links to hymn sites on
the music page. These links are ones that don't
necessarily fit the subject matter of any of our
other pages, so we'll collect them for you here. We
hope you enjoy them.
BOOKS
Amazon.com In my opinion this is the best
bookstore known to mankind! They've got everything
you could imagine and the price is always right. For
Bibles and Christian books, I've found the prices to
be consistently lower than even the big Christian
book discounters. And they ship much faster, too! Try
it out! You'll be glad you did. Click the banner above to go to Amazon's homepage.
Or check out some of their Christian books selections above!
Our Bookstore
We have our own little Amazon 'outlet', too. Click
here to check it out.
FAVORITE CHRISTIAN AUTHORS ONLINE
Grace To You. This is the ministry of Dr. John
F. MacArthur, Jr. My very favorite Christian author.
Renewing Your Mind - Online. This is Dr. R. C.
Sproul's website. Another great author!
Heart Reformation. This is the Stahr Family's
website. They are busy putting the writings of A. W.
Pink online. Yea! I love all of Pink's books that I
have read so far. Check it out! You'll find something
good here.
The Spurgeon Archive. Charles Spurgeon. Pastor
Extraordinaire. Long gone, but not forgotten.
CHRISTIAN LIBRARIES ON THE WEB
Christian Classics Ethereal Library at Wheaton
College or is it Calvin College now? Either way they
have "enough good reading material here to last you a
lifetime..." and they are not lying! Wow! What an
online library. The entire works of the Early Church
Fathers are here. Also Saint Augustine's City of
God and Confessions, Martin Luther's
Table Talk, John Calvin's Institutes of the
Christian Religion, Foxe's Book of Martyrs
and so many more I couldn't even begin to list them
all. Many viewpoints represented, too.
ARCHAEOLOGY IN THE HOLY LAND
BibArch™ They call themselves the Premier
Biblical Archaeology site on the net and from what
I've seen so far they may well be right. Worth a
visit. Lots of interesting articles here.
Biblical Archaeology Society (BAS). You
can either click on the BAS logo to go to their
homepage or click here to
visit the online version of their magazine,
Biblical Archaeology Review. They publish two
other magazines, as well, both of which are
accessible from their homepage. I have a subscription
to them all. I like BAR the best! Their other
archaeology mag is good, too, but not on topic here
(doesn't deal with the Holy Land). Then there is
Bible Review which gags me more each time I
read it. It's more and more obvious as each issue
arrives that few if any of the contributors believe
the Bible to be God's Word....their subscribers do,
as evidenced in the letters to the editor, but this
mag? Forget about it!
Combined Caesarea Expeditions. This is a great
archaeology site because it's a dig in
process...well, actually two...one on land in the
city of Caesarea Maritima and the other underwater in
the city's ancient harbor. Very cool site. See
archaeology in action.
The West Semitic Research Project at USC has
designed a site to provide an educational experience
for students, teachers and the general public. It
includes images of Dead Sea Scrolls, biblical
manuscripts and ancient texts relating to the Bible,
together with descriptions and informative
discussions of the images. Plus do-it-yourself
Epigraphy Interactive Puzzles that let you decipher
your own ancient text. Cool!

CHRISTIAN CREEDS AND CONFESSIONS
Creeds of Christendom
Many creeds, confessions and catechisms can be
found here including the Apostle's Creed, Nicene
Creed, Definition of Chalcedon, Athanasian Creed, the
Augsberg Confession, both Luther's Small as well as
the Large Catechism, the Thirty-Nine Articles of the
Church of England, the Belgic Confession, Heidelberg
Catechism, the Canons of Dordt, and the Westminster
Confession. Plus more! You can enter which
denomination's confessional documents you want to
read and they've got almost all you could possibly
need.
